Reconstructing Collective Memory/Reconstruyendo la Memoria

Pasajeros’s first large scale event as a Playback Company was on September 11, a date that is recorded in the memory of our continent – atrocities that can remain isolated in personal memories.

Playba ck Theatre consists of the telling of audience stories which are then interpreted on stage as poetry, retelling, dance, music and, principally, theatre.

The theme of our event was “Reconstructing Collective Memory”, to which end we invite you to share your experiences, remembering your (and others’) stories, such that we may share our recollections and move towards a common and collective memory. Telling our histories is a collective form of social justice. As we tell our story we keep from forgetting the future and can construct a different future.
